Each month, Area 1 will feature one handbell ensemble each month on the Area 1 website. There are many talented, dedicated ringers spread throughout Area 1, and they deserve to shine in the spotlight. The Festive Ringers Handbell Choir was on the move again in the month of December. The choir is comprised of directors and members of choirs from the Bridgeport, CT area.
They performed on Dec. 5 at the Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull; on Dec. 11 at the Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock in Shelton and on Dec. 12, a concert at Middlebrook Farms, Trumbull. The Director is Carole Fanslow, who also directs her bell choir at Unity Hill United Church of Christ. The group has been together many years, playing concerts in the Spring and at Christmas time in the Bridgeport area. We’re not ready yet to make a C.D., but we’re pretty good!
